EVALUATION PROCEDURE & GRADING CRITERIA
Our students will be evaluated on an on-going basis with regular homework, group discussion, completing their course reading lists, case studies and finally expected to teach a class of 30-minutes. Students are expected to include setting an intent, structuring a safe fluid class for their level and style of choice. This must take into consideration any hypothetical injuries and contraindications of students attending.
You will be expected to design a x6-8 week Yoga course to be for students and to choose the level and style. This will indicate competence, progression and a clear understanding of the required content learnt throughout training.
Written essays and monthly homework will be given throughout the course. A continual journal will also need to be completed to reflect privately on the journey experienced whilst studying.
In addition to the expected 90% attendance of the course, a further 75-hours of group class attendance, case study 1:1‘s and workshops should also be documented and signed off by the class host and shown to the Student Liaison Officer. The Senior Teacher may not apply any 1:1 classes with any of the students whilst on their training course, and will not be the main point of contact during the course for any questioning in between weekends. The course support officer will be appointed at the time of the training commencement. The student will need to show full competency and safety during teaching with a minimum attainment mark of 75% needed to qualify.
Trainees should attend a minimum of 90% of the course. Should trainees miss more than this minimum they will need to agree with the teacher on the modules to re-take. The academy reserves the right to charge additional fees for these catch up modules. Add £250 extra per day for catch up sessions per person..
This training academy has met the stringent requirements set by Yoga Alliance Professional, demonstrating that the course is of the highest standard and that our graduates may use the Registered Yoga Teacher RYT as a sign of quality when they register themselves with Yoga Alliance and have the permission to use the YAP logo. Any student caught in disrepute or misconduct during the course, will not be able to sit their final assessment and certificate. Such disrepute results in their lack of respect for the course tutors and in bringing the name of the teachers and course into defamatory terms.
