What does the course cover?

This comprehensive continuing education course features written content, to cover all aspects of how to deliver exceptional, safe, caring, and dynamic hands-on adjustments to students.

Our in-person Art of Adjustments Yoga Teacher Training course will concentrate on how to assess postures, unique to a student’s biomechanical variations.

Whether this is to deepen a posture or transform an experience within the pose, safe, gentle and beneficial adjusting are key fundamentals as part of a connected and wonderful interactive Yoga class.

Students arrive with many postural misalignments and imbalances and it is a big responsibility to be aware of the body’s varying architectures, one is presented with.

This course aims to guide you through observation and verbal and physical adjustments. The main premise is to apply safe, functional and developmental assists for each pose covered.

Refine your teaching with safe, skilful touch

This course covers the essential application and proficiency of amazing hands-on adjustments, as well as ethical guidelines of hands-on adjustments that keep you and your students safe. You’ll learn the power of connecting with students and transforming their practice through effective assists, and basic adjustment techniques to utilise in a wide variety of postures.

We’ll also cover how to adjust someone throughout a vinyasa practice, including a sun salutation, with transformational adjustments for all groups of postures including Standing Poses, Balance Poses Adjustments, Twisting Poses, Forward Bend, Back Bend, Inversions and Savasana.

This course is suitable for those who have already completed our 200-hour Hatha Yoga teacher training course, as well as students who would like to learn more about this increasingly popular style of yoga.

The course is taught by our Academy founder and Yoga Pros registered Senior Yoga Teacher, Diane Lee.
