This workshop will look at the importance of Yoga teachers in holding the space, with the correct toolkit of information to best serve and support women who are going through this challenging menopause period, and all of the associated emotional and hormonal changes that occur during this time.

 The aims of objectives of this x1-Day CPD in Yoga for the Menopause are:

·        Learn how to best support and confidently guide women through the start, middle and post menopausal phases

·        Learn how hormone regulation is so important to help balance and create a deeper understanding of the changes that are occurring

·        Learn postures that are suitable for menopausal women and how these affect the body

·        Learn how to hold a safe space, calming, easeful and a supportive environment for women during their Yoga practice

 What is covered?

·        What defines the Menopause? What are it's stages?

·        How do hormones change and how does this impact the body?

·        Maintaining the changes within the best body, what are the best practices? 

·        Pelvic floor work and strength training

·        Osteoporosis

·        HRT and the alternatives 

·        Asana, Pranayama and the Eight Limbs

·        The importance of nourishment — Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra

This CPD workshop is aimed primarily at qualified x200-Hour or more Yoga teachers, health workers and professionals. 

The course is approved by Yoga Alliance Professionals, and the Academy for Yoga Training is registered as a Trainer Pro school of excellence. 

Upon completion of the workshop, you will receive a certificate from the Academy for Yoga Training Limited. This workshop counts as x10-Hours of CPD.

Anyone wishing to attend who is not a Yoga teacher is welcome, although the same guidance for teaching Yoga means you are not qualified in Yoga teacher training, without your x200-hour foundation course.
