Yoga gifts

Know a Yogi? Need some gift inspiration?

Here’s our top five favourite gifts.

If you don’t know your asana from your pranayama, finding the perfect gift for the Yogi in your life could be a daunting proposition.

The reality is practicing Yoga does not require many physical props. Fresh air and a quiet place for self reflection should suffice. However, there’s always room for a thoughtful gift.

So check out our top five favourite Yoga gifts and discover your own sense of inner calm.

1. Yoga mat heaven

Even the most flexible, strong Yogi needs some cushioning, and these mats are super stylish.

A Yoga mat is an essential bit of Yoga kit and we love the beautiful and sustainable design of Outré. Based in our home city of Bath, these unique leopard print mats have a hygienic, soft suede top layer and an under layer of non-slip, eco-friendly rubber.

Designed at the height of the pandemic, this exciting range of leopard print mats can be easily cleaned with a microfibre cloth.

The £62 Attol Mat Bundle comes with an Attol Yoga Mat, a Yoga Strap and free standard shipping. Go check them out here.

2. Keep them hydrated

Staying hydrated helps muscles recover more quickly post-workout. It also helps flush out the toxins that are eliminated through sweating, breathing and stretching during Yoga practice.

Whether it’s Ashtanga, Yin, Power, Hatha or Hot Yoga, staying hydrated is incredibly important. Practicing Yoga influences all internal organs, including the kidneys.

We love the range of sustainable stainless steel drinks bottles from local Bath business Bullfrog Bottles. Not only do they keep drinks cold for 24 hours, and hot for 12, they come in a range of eye popping colours, with a silicone carabiner clip , and wrapped up in 100% recyclable packaging.

To top it all off, Bullfrog donate £2 from every sale to Southside; a local charity that supports families across B&NES to make positive changes in their lives AND to Off The Record who work hard to improve the emotional health and wellbeing of young people.

Well worth the £16.99 we think.

What better way to a Yogi’s heart, than the gift of more Yoga? Our sister studio, Bath Yoga Studio is offering gift vouchers for a variety of online and in person classes.

We recommend the Bath Yoga Studio Virtual 5 Class Pass for £40 - flexible and socially distanced, this gift voucher is the perfect gift for busy Yoga lovers.

Want something more personal? Why not book them a place on one of Diane Lee’s weekend workshops?

How about her January 9th Balancing The Chakras Workshop- In Person Studio Class or Virtual Live Stream?

4. Give a thoughtful gift

We love the team at The Positive Planner. Local mental health champions, these ladies know a thing or two about the importance of self care and their journals make wonderful gifts.

Choose from The Positive Planner which takes the reader on a 12-week journey of self-care, gratitude and daily positivity.

Or how about The Positive Wellness Journal, which helps the reader find their way to a sense of wellbeing through holistically nourishing the Mind, Body and Soul over 12-weeks.

If not then, The Positive Bullet Diary is a 12-month undated diary and journal designed to be an inspirational space to encourage the recipient to be positive, productive and most of all creative.

Every page in their journals is constructed from FSC paper, which the WWF recognises as the hallmark of responsible forest management; the timber is harvested in a responsible manner, ensuring the protection not just of the forests themselves, but also the wildlife and people who call them home.

At £20, you can’t go wrong.

5. New year, new career?

Gifts don’t always come wrapped up in ribbons.

If you know someone who harbours a secret dream of turning their love of Yoga into a rewarding career, then introduce them to our community.

Our Yoga Alliance accredited academy helps turn those dreams into a reality, through a range of high quality teacher training courses.

You might not be in the position to pay for their training, but if you plant the seed of possibility, you never know what it could grow into…

We have brand new courses launching for 2022 so are offering a very special offer to anyone who books onto our January 4th Q&A @ 7:30pm. Find our more here:.

What better way to close the door on 2020, than with an exciting adventure and an incredible experience, in the company of an inspirational tribe of Yogis.

Whatever you’re doing this Christmas, we wish you a happy and healthy 2021.

Namaste.
